The Changing Face of Elbow Falls

Fri. 9 August:  I'm sure that plenty of readers will have noticed the rock "face" clearly visible from the viewpoint just below Elbow Falls, framed by the cascading waters?  It was a proud profile, with a high forehead, prominent nose, and a small sliver of rock between his lips, like a tongue.  Since the flood, this face has suffered a major "facelift".  The high forehead and chin have disappeared, together with his tongue, but his nose is still prominent.  Just another casualty of the floods.  See below:
