It’s a warm, misty day in Perth. The last of the winter snow is melting – just in time, perhaps, to make way for the spring snowfall. Large puddles reflect the grey skies. To walk along the trail today would guarantee wet feet.
But of course, we must now stay at home and enjoy our memories of happy hikes with our friends.
About five years ago, The Passionate Hiker completed the
full Rideau Trail in a series of walks over five months. He captured that adventure in an account
