The Wednesday Walkers

Wed. 14 October:  The Wednesday Walkers

A colorful scene
It won’t get more colorful than this.

The eight hikers on today’s walk were treated to some spectacular splashes of yellow and gold, with an occasional streak of red, as we wandered through this lonely stretch of the Rideau Trail.

This was actually two separate hikes, with the Narrows Lock Road acting as our common access point.  The routes are described in my blog entries of October 4th “Blue Loop” and October 2nd “Duck Bay” (in that order), so I won’t repeat it again here.  The only difference today was that, on our second hike, we satisfied ourselves with stopping at the pretty hillside viewpoint of Duck Bay, not feeling any need to go further.

Instead of any more words, I will leave the reader with a few pictures, taken with my ultra-small, ultra-cheap camera!  Enjoy.

Note:  single-click on the first picture above to scroll through the photos separately.
