The Improved K&P Trail marches northwards

I missed it – until last week.
Another eight kilometre section of K&P Trail, from Clarendon Road Station to Snow Road, was opened late last year. And I have only just explored it.
Never too late! The magicians of Frontenac County have done a miraculous job, turning a partial canal into a smooth cycling trail. And I hear they have plans to continue marching northwards, through Snow Road and north towards Calabogie – plenty of future challenges ahead for the trail builders.
The best way to show what an amazing job has been done is to compare a few “before and after” pictures. These speak for themselves.

Thank you for your latest article on the K&P Trail. The before-and-after photos really showcase the incredible work that’s been completed—what a transformation!
With the three Counties now managing the northern section up to Tatty Hill, we’re likely to see even more exciting progress in the years ahead. It’s a promising shift, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
Speaking of trail success stories, have you considered doing an update on the Tay Havelock Trail in Lanark County? The improvements from the OMYA trailhead to the county border are absolutely stunning. Lanark has truly outdone itself—what a testament to vision and dedication. That stretch deserves to be celebrated! Keep up the excellent work PH.
