Under the Rainbow: A stroll through Perth
A busy weekday in Perth.
Yesterday, with the temperatures reaching an unseasonal plus twenty degrees C, I took a stroll around Perth. Some of my journey was along the Rideau Trail, but one section of that trail was closed to the public.
Here at the Rainbow Bridge, which crosses the River Tay, a huge project is in full swing to replace one of the weirs. The river had been drained, and construction crews were busy clearing the riverbed beneath the bridge and dropping rocks with a handy grabbing device. Who says work can't be fun?
In Stewart Park, a new park bench was being installed.
Everyone, it seemed, was making the best use of this final short spell of warm weather before the first blast of winter arrives.
