The 8,380 ft. summit of Bishop Ridge is indeed a wonderful spot from which to view the Elk Range, and Loomis Lake far below in a fold of the mountains. It's also comforting to know that my SPOT GPS device can send a message home letting people know I am ok - so far. Now all I needed to do was get back down safely.
